That the beer Old Speckled Hen is an ode to MG and their factory racer? At some point I shall endeavor to write a beer review.

Hah! Beaten to the punch!

One thing I can say, is it is MUCH MUCH better as a draft, bottled it's kind of meh, on nitro draft, it's one of my favorites.

Are you U.K. bound or across the pond? If your in the U.K. the 5 litre keg has a red tap on the top that when rotated 90degrees charges the keg ready to use.

I'm across the pond, sir. I do know of a place that sells a rotating slew of 5L kegs, maybe this will pop up!

The "English Pub" near me currently has it on draft, which is swell.

Well from this side of the pond, Hi.

Get a few for when the lads are round and open a couple one night and enjoy. Nothing like pouring a pint from a tap or half litre/liter from a, erm, fawcett I guess and taking that first mouthful then shooting some pool or watching a match on tv.

Is the English Pub named after a Royal title (ie The Kings Head, The Royal Oak, The Queens Head, etc...)

Hello from Brooklyn!

A wonderful suggestion, which I shall take to heart.

I sincerely wish that was the case, I think the closest to The Queen's Head we have around here is The Double Windsor, a craft beer bar, not a pub unfortunately. Old Spotted Hen is on tap at the Atlantic Chip Shop, which does a fair job of recreating the vibe and cuisine of (what I assume, hence the quotation marks) the real deal is like.

Chip shop and a pint. Sounds like heaven.

Cod in a nice crispy beer batter, thick cut Yukon Gold or Maris Pipers potatoes cut into thick chips and fried till golden and a portion of mushy peas on the side, squeeze a wedge of lemon over the fish and lightly salt and malt vinegar the chips and wash it down with a pint of Old Speckled Hen.
